History
SAFAL SEEDS & BIOTECH LTD. is a prominent name incepted in 2001 with a strategic business plan & commitment to quality, timely delivery and cost effective products. We have developed a fully furnished registered office at Mumbai along with well equipped set ups in Jalna (Maharashtra) as well as Hyderabad (A.P.). Our infrastructural base is comprised of quality control laboratory, R & D farms, latest seed processing plant, and so on that are managed by registered seed production farmers.
Since inception, we are into the arena of crop genetics offering the best tropical genetic material. We are developing a variety of hybrids in the crops having better yield, fodder and grain quality along with high resistance property to biotic and abiotic stress states. With round-the-clock research and hard work of the plant breeders, we have developed first-class hybrids of Whole Coriander Seeds, Organic Sorghum Seeds, Coriander Seeds, Whole Coriander Seeds, Sunflower, Maize, Bajra, Paddy, Cotton, Grain Sorghum, Forage Sorghum and so on. We have high technology testing centers situated at various sites of the country. We have collaborated with Govt. Institutions, ICAR, ICRISAT and other Foreign seed companies.

R & D Unit
We have developed a strong R & D set up for breeding work at Jalna (2001). Moreover, we have also established a fully fledged R & D centre at Hyderabad along with robust R & D farm and office at Medchal, Rangareddy Dist. Hyderabad. We have recruited experienced plant breeders and other allied workers to develop the best research hybrids with higher yield and quality.

We have been offering hybrids that are in huge demands in the global markets. Our gamut of products like Corn, Sunflower, Millets, Cotton, Paddy, Sorghum Sudangrass, Pearl Millet, Piper Sudangrass, Spices Seeds and so on is highly appreciated in the market. We have been taking contract seed production as well for a verity of crops and F1 hybrids of vegetable seeds that include Eggplant, Tomato, Hot pepper, Watermelon, Okra, Melon, Cucumber, etc.
Bt COTTON
We have launched a thorough research work in the domain of Bt Cotton and got fusion Bt gene from China. When we got the permission from RCGM, we started breeding Bt Cotton hybrids in transgenic polyhouse. These Bt Cotton hybrids were first promoted for Multi Location Trials and after that Large Scale Trials supervised by Monitoring & Evaluation Committee.
Bt cotton fusion hybrids like SBCH-286 Bt. SBCH-284 Bt., SBCH-292 Bt and SBCH 310 Bt were tested under large scale from Kharif 2007 in Central, North, and South Zones at 80 locations. They were approved by GEAC, Govt. of India for commercial cultivation.
